"CommonMP Development and Operation Consortium" was established.

We are now developing a Common Platform of water and material circulation analysis software - "CommonMP (Common Modeling Platform for water-material circulation analysis) - on which multiple element models for various hydraulic and hydrological phenomena in order to enable higher level numerical simulation currently not available, and making proposals concerning river and water management.

Sewerage and Wastewater Management Department, City and Regional Development Bureau of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (hereinafter, "MLIT") and River Bureau of MLIT, National Institute for Land and Infrastructure Management of MLIT, Japan Society of Civil Engineers, Japan Civil engineering Consultants Association and Association of Water and Sewage Works Consultants Japan are participating in the development and operation of the Common Modeling Platform for Water-Material Circulation Analysis (hereafter, “CommonMP”) and have jointly established the “CommonMP Development and Operation Consortium" to provide a framework where participants by themselves propose and develop water and river management methodologies by CommonMP through utilization of software asset and newly developed software.
